What are the scales of a knife?

The handle material of a knife comes in two portions that are riveted to the tang. These are known as scales and may be created from a variety of materials. Examples of such materials include wood, plastic, or a composite material.

What is a buck knife?

In 1963, the American knife manufacturer, Buck Knives, introduce the first folding lock-blade knife. The design became world famous. As a result, people often refer to all forms of folding lock-blades as "buck knives." This is in spite of the fact that the term is a trademark.

What is a tactical knife?

This type of knife is designed for both combat and general use. It may also be called a fighting knife or a combat knife. Basically, the knife is optimized to handle survival needs in life and death situation. Most are intended for military use.
